The Symbol of Romantic Love
Pierre NicolasPerrier’s family was in the business of grape growing while Rose Adelaide Jouetwas in the business of Calvados making, but the grapes drew these two peopletogether. Pierre Nicolas Perrier, at the age of 25, married Rose Adelaide Jouetwho was 19 at that time. In 1811, which is one year after they got married, they established the Winery Perrier Jouet that was named after them, andstarted their own champagne business in Epernay, Avize and Cramant in theChampagne region.
Wine tasting notes
A pale and sparkling yellow robe, suggestive of vivacity. The Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is delicate, elegant and balanced. The striking freshness and vivacity of the floral and fruity fragrances (yellow fruits and fresh fruits) take root, before giving wayto subtle notes of vanilla and butter, lending the wine a fruity and consistent character. The notes of cherry plum, lemon and bergamot orange emerge first, then make way for the flowers of fruit trees, such as lime and honeysuckle. These are followed by notes of butter. Lingering notes of grapefruit, white peaches, green pears, apple trees and green hazelnuts round off the taste.
Ampleness and vivacity balance out in the mouth, developing into a flavour of round and vinous elegance. A fresh, balanced champagne with a long finish.
